The luminous apartment is situated on the third floor (without lift) of a vintage building on the main square of the town. It is composed of a dining room/living room (double sofa bed) with window to the South, a balcony (2 sqm) overlooking the square. The double bedroom has a fantastic view over the Piombino's channel. The kitchen takes its light from a window above the sink. The bathroom with bath tub/shower offers the same view of the bedroom. The property includes an under-stair storage at the entrance of the building (used as storage for beach equipment and stuff). Furthermore there is another very bright and dry room with entrance from the landing, adjacent to the entrance of the apartment, that is used as storage for the linen; from this room you can reach the roof. The floor of the lounge is made of an original floor tile called “cementine” (hexagonal white, red and black); there is also a vintage vaulted and decorated ceiling. The town of Rio dell'Elba is situated in the eastern area of the Elba and it is one of the oldest town of the island. It is in a very quiet hilly area, place of natural attractions. Perfect excursions: Volterraio's castle, Eremo of Santa Caterina with its “orto dei Semplici” or you can go trekking.
Near the apartment there is the mineral museum, rich in Etruscan artifacts and various minerals extracted from the iron caves situated in the eastern area of the island.
