Palazzo Mascio is a prestigious and finely restored building of the eighteenth century situated on the border of the hamlet of Mennella, at the slopes of Mainarde in the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. It has mantained its old structure with vaults, walls and arches made of stone. The property is laid out over three floors: ground, first and second floor plus an attic that could be used to create 2 bedrooms.
On the ground floor you find a wide courtyard with vaults and the original floor made of river stones, the cellar, the bar corner, a broom closet, the dining room, a former cellar where there is a wine vat in perfect condition, the place where the kids used to press grapes and the juice were poured in the vats.
From the dining room you can reach the wide equipped kitchen and a small pantry.
In the courtyard there is a staircase that leads to the first floor, where you find an old stone door, 5 wide bright rooms with en-suite bathrooms and a reading room with an original fireplace.
An interior staircase leads to the second floor that includes the panoramic terrace and two bedrooms with en-bathrooms and panoramic balconies.
The property was restored in 2005 adding an access for disabled people. All the systems are in compliance to the legal standards. The heating system is composed of electric stoves in 5 rooms and radiators in the others.
